Woman in Recording Studio

Is this better than editing it myself?

If you enjoy editing, DIY tools can work for simple cuts.  Dance Cuts Xpress is for studios that want their music handled quickly, cleanly, and professionally, without spending time in software.

What do EQ, compression, and limiting mean?

In simple terms:

  • EQ removes unnecessary or harsh frequencies so the music sounds clear and balanced

  • Compression controls dynamics so the volume feels even and powerful

  • Limiting sets a clean final loudness so the track plays strong without distortion

Together, these steps ensure your routine music sounds clean, controlled, and professional on any sound system.

Do you include sound effects and voice-overs?

Yes. Performance, Signature, and Exclusive Remix tiers include sound effects and voice placement when they enhance the routine.

What does “button ending” mean?

A button ending is a clean, decisive final beat instead of a fade-out.
It gives dancers a clear moment for their final pose and makes routines feel finished and intentional.

What is energy shaping?

Energy shaping means selecting and arranging parts of a song, or multiple songs, to create a clear build, peak, and finish that supports choreography without changing the original music.

What file formats do you deliver?

All edits are delivered in WAV for highest quality and MP3 for easy sharing.

Can I request revisions?

Yes. Each tier includes a defined number of revisions.  Additional revisions are available if needed.

How fast is turnaround really?

Most Xpress Cuts can be completed the same day or next day, but we advertise 48 hours to ensure consistency and quality.

Do you clean explicit lyrics from songs?

Yes. Radio-clean edits are included in Performance, Signature, and Exclusive Remix tiers.  For Xpress edits, a clean version can be added as an optional service.

What if I only have a low-quality version of a song?

For best results, we recommend providing a high-quality MP3 or WAV.
If a low-quality file is supplied, we can still edit it, but any existing audio limitations will remain in the final mix.

Do you guarantee competition compliance?

Music licensing and competition requirements vary by organization and event.
Dance Cuts Xpress edits to professional performance standards, but final compliance is the responsibility of the studio, coach, choreographer, or athlete
